Visit the Museum during Swedish Days for some fun family activities.

June 19-23, 2018 / 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.  Three Museum galleries open

Children’s Gallery Exhibition Go Figure! * where children can explore math and literacy activities throughout this exhibit.  Five popular children’s books are brought to life in gigantic reproductions of the artist’s original illustrations.  Books include: Arthur’s Pet Business by Marc Brown, The Doorbell Rang by Pat Hutchins, The Quilt by Ann Jonas, Frog and Toad are Friends: A Lost Button by Arnold Lobel and Goldilocks and the Three Bears by James Marshall.  

Explore this discovery-filled exhibit including sorting, sequencing, and pattern activities, two iPad stations, a table-top creation area and copies of all five books to read and share.  Enter a drawing to take home the bundle of all five books.

Three drop-in story times are planned to coordinate with the exhibit in cooperation with the Geneva Public Library.  Join us each month each starting at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 26 with The Doorbell Rang,  Thursday, July 26 with Arthur’s Pet Business and Wednesday, August 8 with Goldilocks and the Three Bears.  Story times are recommended for children ages 3 to 8 years old.  The readings are followed by an activity and free admission to “Go Figure!”

Admission is $3.00 for adults, $2,00 for children ages 3 to 10 and FREE for Museum Members includes our Feature Gallery Exhibition In Other Words: The History of Communication in Geneva and our Main Gallery Exhibition Geneva’s Story with scavenger hunts, activities, iPad stations, and videos.

June 19-June 21, 2018 / 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Trolley Tours

Enjoy a 35-minute guided tour including stories of historic Geneva starting every hour at Second and James Streets.  New route each year!  This years route will tell the story of Burgess-Norton Manufacturing, catalog homes and the first post-war funded homes in the country.  Learn which famous jazz musician played at Geneva High School in 1958 and where disposable cups were made to prevent tuberculosis.  Admission is $10/person and includes a FREE Museum pass and a goodie bag full of offers from local businesses.

Friday, June 22 / 10 a.m. & 2 p.m. Guided Walking Tour

Join us for a 45-60 minutes guided walking tour of historic downtown Geneva with stories of buildings and people that settled the town.  Tours start at the Museum.  Admission is $10 per person and includes a FREE Museum pass and a goodie bag full of offers from local businesses.
